I practiced most of my career in nursing working in the perioperative world and obtained my certification in this exciting specialty in 2017. I fell in love with teaching when I started working as a clinical adjunct for BSN students in a fundamentals practicum, this ultimately pushed me to pursue my masters in nursing education from Missouri Western State University. I have worked as a full time faculty member at MWSU since obtaining my degree in 2018, primarily teaching holistic assessment in the BSN program as well as many other courses in our curriculum. In 2021, I received my certification in nursing education and have since passionately engaged in research on improving student's clinical reasoning and clinical judgment development.
