Dr. DeLeon Addison is a highly accomplished nurse educator with a wealth of experience in clinical practice, leadership, and education. With over 20 years in the field, she has made significant contributions in various roles and has developed expertise in engaged learning techniques, faculty development, and accreditation. Currently serving as a Department of Nursing Chair at Dallas College in Dallas TX, Dr. Addison has been instrumental in shaping the nursing program at the North Lake campus. She has also taken on leadership roles as the accreditation committee co-chair and champion for the strategy planning to implement clinical judgement throughout the program. Dr. Addison demonstrates her commitment to maintaining high standards in nursing education. Dr. Addison's educational journey showcases her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. She holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from Bryant and Stratton College, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Gonzaga University, and dual degrees in Health Informatics and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership from Troy University. Recognizing the importance of innovative teaching methods, Dr. Addison is a Sigma Academic Leader Academy scholar and has completed the Active Learning Academy. Additionally, she is the owner of Addison Academics. Through this venture she aims to elevate the teaching/learning experience by introducing new approaches and strategies to faculty teaching in the classroom. With her extensive experience, passion for education, and commitment to excellence Dr. DeLeon Addison continues to make a significant impact in the field of nursing education. Her expertise and dedication to advancing the profession make her a valuable asset to any academic institution or organization she is associated with.

Nicole Williamms, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, NEA-BC
Director, Content and Test Development, Examinations, National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
Nicole Williams, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, NEA-BC, has over 30 years of nursing experience with examination development expertise. As Director of Content and Test Development in the Examinations Department at NCSBN, she manages, directs, and ensures the content and test development services related to the NCLEX and all NCSBN examinations comply with industry standards. With 16 years of examination development experience, her interest in entry-level nursing clinical judgment includes leading the development of the triennial NCLEX Practice Analysis studies and subsequent NCLEX Test Plans. Her work in entry-level nursing and clinical judgment includes numerous presentations and several publications, specifically a study highlighting the effects of preventable harm simulation on entry-level nurses’ clinical judgment behaviors.

Jodi Orm
MSN, RN, CNE
Nursing Education Specialist with Elsevier
Jodi Orm is a nurse educator with a passion for digital innovation in nursing education and determining how it can enhance the learning process. Her tenure at Lake Superior State University in Michigan included Director of Simulation as well as Assistant Professor of Nursing. In her current role as Nursing Education Specialist with Elsevier, she gets to do what she loves most - engage with faculty every single day! Throughout the last decade, she has been lucky enough to share innovative educational strategies with faculty throughout the United States, Canada, China, and Australia. She strongly believes that technology can add curiosity and excitement for the learner, especially in nursing education.

Ashley Franklin
PhD, RN, CNE, CHSE-A, ANEF
President, International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation in Learning (INACSL)
Dr. Franklin is the Rankin Endowed Professor of Nursing at Texas ChristianUniversity and is recognized for leadership, collaboration, and scholarly contributions to nursing education that raise the quality of simulation experiences in academic and practice settings.

Selena A. Gilles
DNP, ANP-BC, CNEcl, ANEF, FNYAM, FAAN
Associate Professor, New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing
Dr Selena A Gilles is Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program a New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She is an Affiliate Faculty member of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing (HIGN) where she serves as Co-Director of HIGN Scholars Program. Dr Gilles is also an Affiliate Associate Professor at Howard University College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences and Volunteer Associate Professor for the State University of Haiti. Dr Gilles is known for creating and implementing nontraditional immersive teaching/learning innovations to address nationally identified nursing education issues that will enhance student learning/program outcomes. She is regarded as a leader and prelicensure nursing education expert who has implemented curricular innovations that have been evidenced-based, creative and effective teaching strategies that span across multiple courses at Meyers and settings outside of Meyers, having a significant impact on student academic success and role transitions. Her contributions have helped enhance the nursing curriculum, filling identified gaps and answering the new Essentials call for all entry-level professional nurses to have knowledge and proficiencies to practice across a variety of settings in the spheres of wellness/disease prevention and chronic disease management.

Dr Gilles is passionate about the management of acute and chronic pain, as well as opioid overdose prevention. She is the Program Director of the Greater NYC Black Nurses Association Opioid Overdose Prevention Program. She has strong community advocacy and passion for global health, currently working with organizations aimed to serve the underprivileged and underserved communities in Haiti, Ghana, and Nigeria. She has been on seven medical missions. Dr Gilles is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine (2020), a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing (2023), a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (2024), and a Fellow Academy of Nursing Education (2023). Dr Gilles has also been recognized as a Distinguished Geriatric Nurse Educator (2023) designated by the National Hartford Center for Gerontological Nursing.
